Farewell to Postdoctoral Research Associate Lin Pan

Physics ColloquiumPhysics Graduate Colloquium on February 23

Graduate student presentations begin this Thursday at 4:00 pm in Fisher 139. Talks will be given by three physics graduate students on their research. Tolga Yapici will present "Using Artificial Intelligence in Predicting First Interaction Length of An Extensive Air Shower." Yapici works with Brian Fick. Ashim Chakravarty's talk is entitled "Elliptical Normal Modes and Stop Band Reconfiguration in Multimode Birefringent Onedimensional Magneto-photonic Crystals," the work he is doing with Miguel Levy. Xiaoliang Zhong will speak on "Electronic and Transport Properties of Trilayers of Graphene and Boron Nitride". Zhong is part of the Computational Solid State Theory and Materials Science Group, lead by Ravi Pandey. All are welcome at Physics Colloquium. Refreshments will be provided.
