Research work can be experimental, computational, theoretical, or some combination of all three based on the desire and interests of the student. Projects with current funding include:

  • Laboratory studies of heterogeneous nucleation of ice (Cantrell)
  • Theoretical and computational studies of stochastic processes in clouds (Kostinski)
  • Radar meteorology (Kostinski)
  • Laboratory studies of the kinetics of cloud particle formation and growth (Shaw)
  • Laboratory studies of turbulence/cloud particle interaction (Shaw)
