A Research Assistantship is currently available in astrophysics with a concentration in gravitational lensing and/or gamma-ray burst data analysis. Skills in self-motivated research, written English communication, and a programming knowledge of HTML, FORTRAN, and C++ preferred. Interests in WWW authoring, black hole optics, the history of astronomy, and random number generation considered a plus. Highly qualified students will be considered for a full Research Fellowship. The position carries a stipend of $10,800/yr + tuition ($12,560/yr + tuition after passing the PhD qualifying examination).
