PURPOSE: Line diffraction spectrum of mercury.

DESCRIPTION: A high-pressure mercury lamp is used to produce a line spectrum. Light from the source is passed through a slit, which is focussed on a distant screen using a 20 cm focal length convex lens. The grating is positioned after the foc using lens.
