Physics Computing Lab General Information234 Fisher HallLast updated August 17, 2006. The Physics Computing Lab is the Physics Department's basic computing lab. It is available for physics undergraduates and graduate students. The Physics Computing Lab has a card reader for physics majors. The computing lab can be accessed whenever Fisher Hall is open. There are 11 PCs and a networked laser printer. Please read the usage policy very carefully. Check the Physics Computing Lab page often, as the status of the basic computing lab changes. It is marvelous indeed to watch on television the rings of Saturn close; and to speculate on what we may yet find at galaxy's edge. But in the process, we have lost the human element; not to mention the high hope of those quaint days when flight would create "one world". Instead of one world, we have "star wars," and a future in which dumb dented human toys will drift mindlessly about the cosmos long after our small planet's dead. |
