Fluids of Hard Convex Molecules

A fluid of impenetrable convex bodies with no added soft interactions is conceptually an extremely simple model. For long or flat shapes, such fluids exhibit complex physical behavior. I will discuss: why are such fluids interesting models? Why do the usual methods of classical fluids theory fail? An unusual theoretical approach: can it go somewhere?
