Here the group is making radio propagation measurements in preparation for the installation of a wide area wireless network.

Field studies performed in March, 1999 at the southern hemisphere Auger Observatory site in Argentina. Shown here is a temporary 12m high mast that was erected on the Los Leones hill to perform radio propagation measurements. The group pictured includes Auger collaborators from the University of Chicago, Louisiana State University, Slovenia, and Argentina, as well as MTU. Dr. Nitz is in the center of the group.
