Dr. A. Borysow - Research Interests

Computational Atomic and Molecular Physics

Prof. Borysow specializes in collision induced spectroscopy; her work is mainly computational. Dr. Borysow develops classical and quantum mechanical computational techniques describing quantitatively the collision induced absorption and light scattering in dense non-polar gases such as hydrogen, nitrogen, carbon dioxide and methane. Much of the work is related to its application in planetary and stellar atmospheric studies. The work also focuses on studies leading to the understanding of the intermolecular interactions responsible for the observed collision induced phenomena.
