Notable Publications
- Jaszczak and Seely Co-Author Nano Chapter
- APOD has
recently inspired another book: “Astronomy: 365 Days”, Robert J.
Nemiroff and Jerry T. Bonnell, Abrams, NY, NY, 2006. “Astronomy: 365 Days” is a spectacular collection of photographs of space and sky. It is a follow-up to the authors' previous collaboration, “The Universe: 365 Days”, which is the second-highest-selling title in the 365 Days series.
- Edward M. Nadgorny, Dennis M. Dimiduk, and Michael D. Uchic, Size Effects in LiF Micron-Scale Single Crystals of Low Dislocation Density, in "Size Effects in the Deformation of Materials — Experiments and Modeling", edited by E. Lilleodden, P. Besser, L. Levine, A. Needleman (Mater. Res. Soc. Symp. Proc. 976E, Warrendale, PA, 2007), 0976-EE06-24, has been invited for submission to the Journal of Materials Research. If accepted, it will be highlighted in the JMR as an "Outstanding Meeting Paper" from the Fall 2006 meeting.
- DISLOCATION DYNAMICS AND MECHANICAL PROPERTIES OF CRYSTALS, E. NADGORNY, Pergamon Press, Oxford, 1988, 580 pp. (Eds. J.W. Christian, P. Haasen, and T.B. Massalski, Progress in Materials Science, Vol. 31)
- Assistant Professor Yoke Khin Yap has published a chapter in
the Encyclopedia of Nanoscience and Nanotechnology, the first encyclopedia
published in the field of nanotechnology. The 10-volume encyclopedia
has received the 2005
Best Reference Work Award by The Awards Committee
of The Engineering Libraries Division of the American Society for Engineering
