GRADUATE PROGRAMS |
Graduate Programs - Current Financial AidReturn to Financial Aid Overview Most of the graduate students in physics are financially supported. First year students generally receive graduate teaching assistantships, though fellowships and graduate research assistantships are often available. Stipends are expected to range from $15,000 to $20,000 per year (including summer) plus full tuition, and vary depending of qualifications and students' progress to degree. Exceptional first-year applicants will automatically be considered for Miles Fellowships, which supplement teaching or research appointments. Continued support (and summer) financial support for all students depends on progress toward the degree together with performance of assigned teaching or research duties, and the availability of funds. Applications must be received by March 1 to be fully considered for admission and support for the following Fall. |
