Graduate Programs - Physics - 1. Overview - Financial AidThe Department of Physics offers Teaching or Research Assistantships to qualified graduate students. Summer employment is usually available to students who are making satisfactory academic progress. Full tuition remission is included. A limited number of Fellowships and Graduate Assistantships are available on a competitive basis from the Graduate School. Senior graduate students are eligible for departmental travel awards each year, as well as for one semester of internship support The application forms for admission to the Graduate School are also regarded as application forms for fellowships and assistantships. In general, awards are made in March and April for the ensuing academic year, and recipients of awards are notified by letter as soon as the award is made.
