A total of 30 credits is required for the Masters of Science degree. Depending on the program, a student may choose from three degree plans: Plan A-a research thesis); Plan B-an independent study project; or Plan C-course work only. A well prepared student will need a minimum of 12 months to complete the degree requirements.

The research course requirements for the PhD degree are established by the student's Advisory Committee. Normally, the program consists of substantial graduate course work and investigation which leads to a significant contribution to the field.
