This animation is composed of 3 images, two of which are masked with simple moving circles:

Image 1: Rendered Pod (unmasked layer)

Image 2: Mesh Pod (masked layer 1)

Image 3: Mesh Overlay on Rendered Pod (masked layer 2)

The 3D images were created in Bryce 5 from publicly available mesh object libraries. The images were captured and imported into Flash.
