1F30.50: PENCIL GUN

PURPOSE: To illustrate Newton’s’ First Law in a dramatic way.

DESCRIPTION: Set up the pencil gun with a pencil in the barrel and a piece of plywood in the target stand. Make sure that the Plexiglas Cover is on the right way. Attach a air bottle to the gun. Using a rubber mallet hit the operating handle on the bottle.

SUGGESTIONS:

EQUIPMENT: Pencil gun setup, rubber mallet, safety glasses, and bottle of air.
