PURPOSE: To demonstrate F = ma.

DESCRIPTION: A small mass hanging over a frictionless pulley provides the constant force which accelerates the dynamics cart. A motion sensor is used the track the dynamics cart.The accelerating force can be varied by adding additional masses to the cart and the pulley.

EQUIPMENT: Dynamics track, Data Studio with computer, dynamics carts with of masses, small masses for the pulley, and a Frictionless Pulley.
