DEMONSTRATES: How a temperature differential can be used to generate an electric current.
DESCRIPTION: Inserting one leg of the thermoelectric generator into ice water and the other leg into hot water or liquid nitrogen generates sufficient thermoelectric current to run the fan.
SUGGESTIONS: It may take a minute or so, and need a bit of a push. Watch out for the broken one!
EQUIPMENT: Thermoelectric fan, ice water, liquid nitrogen, and hot water with hot plate.
KEYWORDS: thermoelectricity, heat differential
