PURPOSE: To demonstrate the "electric wind" phenomenon.

DESCRIPTION: A lighted candle is positioned between 2 discharge points , which are in turn connecteed to a Van de Graaff generator between the dome and the ground. When the Van de Graaff is turned on, the "electric wind" blows the candle flame. The picture above is a demo called Candle in the Wind which demonstrates the same principle but in a different way.
