DEMONSTRATES: Electric potential

EQUIPMENT: Neon tube, plasma ball.

DESCRIPTION: A neon tube will glow due the potential gradient created by a plasma ball.

COMMENTS: Other tubes can be used. A Van Der Graaf or a tesla coil can also be used in place of the plasma ball.
