PH532 Theory of Solids (0-3-0) s 3Cr
Course Description:
Free electron theory, Bloch's theorem, electronic band structure
theory. Fermi surfaces, electron transport in metals and semiconductors
electron-electron interactions. Lattice vibrations and phonons, other
topics as time permits.
Prerequisites: PH522 and
PH533 or permission of instructor.
