Course Description:
Programming techniques to optimize algorithms for parallel-processing
architectures. Emphasis will be on practical algorithms used for the
simulation of molecules, solids, and magnetic resonance imaging. Class
projects will be drawn from areas of interest in the department. Knowledge
of FORTRAN and previous computational experience with scalar computers are
assumed.
